For as long as I can remember I have been in school and involved in competitive sports. At 3 I started preschool, and by 5 I was playing soccer. School and sports only got busier from there, and academic and athletics began dictating my life.

By high school I was cutting my summer short to start soccer practice, and forfeiting spring break for lacrosse games.  By the time I reached college academics and athletics had morphed into one. For the next four years all of my time was spent doing school work, playing sports, and working on campus. Every minute of every day was pretty much accounted for. And I loved it!

This past May I graduated and my academic and athletic career came to an end. For the first time in my life I wasn’t playing a sport or going to school. I needed a hobby, and photography was the answer.

Henri Cartier-Bresson once said, “Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst.” I am now inviting you to follow me at my worst, so maybe one day you will see my photographs at their best.
